The three best 3 in 1 products

Screen Shot 2016-08-13 at 11.16.43.png

Personally, I love a product that provides you with three different services. It just makes the product more worth buying. And after searching for quite some time I found 3 of my favourite 3 in 1 products. So here they are…

The first one is the Garnier Pure Active 3 in 1. This was the first 3 in 1 product that I have ever tried and it didn’t disappoint at all. I ended up repurchasing it multiple times. I find that some of these types of products end up falling into one category instead of all three, because the multiple function doesn’t seem to have the same effectiveness, so I tend to use it as one, than all three. However, this is an exception and I end up using it as all three. The product helps to exfoliate, purify and minimize pores, as it claims, and I find that it isn’t too harsh or abrasive on the skin. Plus, it’s super inexpensive. So, it is definitely worth checking out. Although, I will say that this product tends to be on the drier side, as it does have the consistency of a clay mask. So, remember to moisturise afterwards.

A newer discovery has been The Skin System 3 in 1 product. After a couple of uses, I have to give high ratings. I really like how this product has tea tree in it. So, it is perfect when you skin is feeling a little spotty. Although, it does have tea tree and salicylic acid in it, I don’t feel like it leaves my skin overly dry. One thing that I really like about this product, is the granules in it. It’s similar to the Garnier Pure Active 3 in 1, in terms of the effectiveness while exfoliating. As it isn’t too abrasive, but gives that right amount of exfoliation, where my skin feels a lot smoother and cleaner.

My last favourite would be the formula 10.0.6 Three times sublime 3 in 1 blackhead. Again, as a exfoliator it ticks off my checklist of a good exfoliater, much like the others, but as  a mask, it is even more amazing. The mask really helps to clear the dirt out of my skin, while not over drying it out. However, I do need to use a thicker moisturiser after using this, which is understandable, because it is a clay mask. Also, sit is definitely one of the thicker mask, so a little goes a long way, if you want to apply just a thin layer. And overall, it smells great. Although, I will say that the mask doesn’t leave my nose blackhead free, which is disappointing, but I do like it as a mask and an exfoliator as a way to tighten pore and clear the majority of the dirt out of my skin.

I hope that this post has helped to find some new products to try!

3 Best Undereye Concealers

When it comes to the undereyes, it is important to find a good products to keep them hydrated, refreshed and concealed. So, I thought I would talk about 3 of my favourite concealers that definitely help to conceal my pesky circles. For me, I have to find a good hydrating concealer, because my undereyes tends to be on the drier side. So, finding a concealer that works to cover and keep it hydrated is pretty hard to find. It has taken me a while to find concealers that do just this. So, I had to show you what they are.

The first concealer is the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer. Now, this concealer was my all time favourite for a long time. There was nothing that compared to this. When I needed some concealing under my eyes, this is what I went for. The formulation of this concealer is very creamy and pigmented, leaving it looking very natural on the skin. Plus, it is super inexpensive for such a good concealer. I would say the sponge tip applicator makes it super easy to apply, but it does look a little worst for wear currently. Nevertheless, it is an incredible concealer!

The next concealer is the Big Cover Cushion Concealer from Etude House. This is the most incredible concealer. It is super dewy and super pigmented, with a hint of a pinky tint to it, making it perfect for evening out those pesky purple tones under the eyes. I definitely will say that this concealer is a lot more moisturising then the Maybelline concealer, but they both have the same amount of pigmentation. Plus, they do have the same sponge applicator. However, the Big Cover concealer is a lot smaller than the Maybelline concealer, which has its ups and downs, as it allow you to apply it closer to the eye, but you do have to apply more to get the same coverage. Also, it has a really pleasant smell to it, it isn’t too strong, but if you prefer an undereye concealer without a scent I recommend the Maybelline concealer. Also, what I love about it is that it has SPF 30, which is difficult to find in an undereye concealer or even a concealer for that matter. The reason I like it so much, is that your undereyes are a really delicate part of your face, and a lot of the time fine lines start to appear, because of the sun. So, it needs just as much protection as your face, if you want to keep those fine lines from appearing.

Lastly, is the well known concealer The Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I definitely had high hopes for this concealer and it didn’t disappoint at all. It is very pigmented and covers really well, but I would say that it isn’t as hydrating as the Maybelline and the Etude House concealer, however this can be fixed with a good eye cream. Also, the packaging differs from the other two, as it has a long stick applicator, which makes it somewhat easier to apply and it definitely has a wider range of colours than the other two. Also, it does have a creamy texture to it, which makes it look very natural on the skin. This product definitely does not disappoint. Plus, this is the cheapest out of the three concealers.

So, those were my 3 best undereye concealers. I hope you do check them out and let me know what are your favourite undereye concealers.

Empties | July

As  July comes to an end and the final month of starts, I have gathered a few beauty empties to share with you.

Nature Republic Aloe Soothing Gel 300ml

I previously mentioned this product in one of my favourites and I finally managed to finish it! This has made my body moisturizing routine so much easier. During the summer the humid days don’t lead me to want to moisturize my legs because of how sticky some lotions feel. However, after being introduced to gel moistuizers I have changed my mind.

  • Non-sticky (sticky for 30 seconds and then is absorbed into your skin) varies from person to person. Read below
  • light
  • calms down irritated skin
  • good for sensitive skin (aloe)
  • Great for sunburns
  • Natural
  • Super moisturizing, even for those who have dry skin.

  • Some of my family said that the gel didn’t absorb quite as quickly enough. Leaving them feeling sticky.

I really like this product, now that I have finished it I have tried a few other gels and so far must say that the Nature republic aloe gel is my favourite. Super hydrating and especially f you are sunburnt it cools you down straight away!

Tip: Leave in the fridge for an extra cooling effect.

2. Honey Miel Body wash

One of my favourite ingredients in skincare/body care products is Honey. The moisturizing benefits and how supple my skin feels after using it, leaves my skin feeling amazing.

  • Moisturizing
  • Deep clean when used with a loofa
  • Contains 100% organic honey
  • Has a light scent of honey.

  • The scent doesn’t linger on the skin for very long after showering.

Although it does contain real honey, I found that it wasn’t that different from regular shower gels other than the fact that it is slightly more moisturizing.

3. Yves Rocher | Vanilla Body Scrub

Yves Rocher, as you probably know if you have been reading this blog for a while is one of those brands I go to for new products. Plus with their monthly gifts and samples you are able to try more of what their brand can offer. I got this scrub as a free gift with my purchase.

  • Contains coarse (natural) scrub beads within the scrub.
  • Natural ingredients
  • Can be used as a scrub and a shower gel as the scrub particles are quite sparse.

  • I must admit I was a little disappointed by this body scrub together with their raspberry scrub because of the scent. The scents didn’t really reflect their labels, which was especially the case for their raspberry scent.
  • For some, this scrub might not be exfoliating enough, as mentioned before the scrub particles are quite sparse.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this product if you want a deep cleaning scrub, the exfoliating particles/beads aren’t exfoliating enough. However, even though the product was a little bit disappointing it still doesn’t change my views on Yves Rocher.

4. LSNP Daily Hair Mask

  • Smells amazing: fresh scent.
  • Works well as a conditioner.

  • Discontinued.
  • Wasn’t very hydrating.
  • The hydrating washed off with the water used to rinse the product out.

  • I must admit I was a little disappointed with LSNP , with its launch last year in Hong Kong the brand claimed to have hyaluronic acid as an ingredient for shiny hair and deep moisturisation. However, once using it I found that my hair wasn’t too moisturised and was still a little dry.

5. Yves Rocher | Anti-Age Global Serum

  • Non-sticky
  • Brightening
  • Anti-aging
  • Soothing
  • Great for sensitive skin.
  • Natural ingredients

  • The price.
  • It’s very easy to use up this product in a short amount of time.
  • Needs to be used in the long term in order to see the best results.
  • More effective results for those who have more mature skin.

The serums have a very interesting texture, its not as thick as a moisturiser but is equally as creamy (and non-sticky).
